Behind November
A crazy month, a surprising month, a busy month, and a frustrating month. Oh yes, can't forget yet another record-setting warm month, too. Haven't needed the heat to kick in at my new place yet (which is why it's included with the rent, ha ha).
Got out to see a lot of movies this month--seems like feast or famine on that front. Hacksaw Ridge, Doctor Strange, Arrival (twice), and Fantastic Beasts. So that was fun, but it drew time away from all the other stuff I was trying to move forward with. My novella The Furthest Leap is at least behaving a little better but still not letting me get anywhere easily, and while my 2017 single-page calendar illustration is going very well, I always underestimate how huge a weeks-long time sink that is. Got my editor's great feedback on the second Geren book early, on November 14, but aside from reviewing it and coming up with my response/questions, haven't had time to start implementing changes. Triune progress fared the worst: started gathering notes to start building the outline for the second book, but things got delayed with the last beta reader so that stayed in limbo. Probably better that way--I just don't have the time. Also behind with finances, laundry, ironing, cleaning, and getting ready for winter.
But at least I have an accomplishments list, right?
Nov 7 - Finished section 1 of 'Furthest Leap'
Nov 15 - Passed the 10,000 word mark with 'Furthest Leap'
Nov 19 - Fourth apheresis donation of 2016
Nov 20 - Made Portal Page image for 'The Furthest Leap'
Nov 21 - Finished section 2 of 'Furthest Leap'

For December, there won't be much time to keep hammering away at The Furthest Leap and art projects before I have to get ready to visit family over Christmas and New Year's. That will be fun! I'm also looking forward to the travel time for making serious progress with the seventh pass in the second Geren book, but I don't know how much time I will find for progress with the outline for the second Triune book and final tweaks with the first. Time will tell--I'm just champing at the bit to get started with pass 1 of the third Geren book, as early in 2017 as I can manage!
