Baking in Idaho
Pardon the pun, but I did feel like a baked potato for a good part of my Idaho trip. We were unfortunate enough to have most of the time overlap a record-setting and remarkably early heat wave.

Saw some beautiful places, and it was a real treat to get back to Glacier National Park for a day, but my strongest wish is to go back (at least to the northern parts) when it's cool enough that I can ENJOY being outside!

At least my photos don't come with the brutal heat attached...but I wish I could include the smells on some of them! My walk along Pettit Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains was probably the best-smelling walk I have ever taken.

And getting Idaho knocked off my list of dream states has moved my states map along a little, yay!

Pictures look good but I will remember this trip for the heat.

Yes, slowly but surely. Hopefully some year I can get to the UP of Michigan, it's hardly that far.
