Ugh, what a month! Set an all-time highest dew point record, something in the vicinity of the 4th hottest July ever, but it only felt worse thanks to all the wretched storms, humid days, roasting nights, flooding fun... I've been losing weight at around/over a pound a week the latter part of the month, and my BMI's down to 19.0, so I need to focus on forcing myself to eat more before I hit 'underweight' levels. I'm already quite strained with what this month has put me through, and the weak spot in my throat/lungs has folded again, which means lots of fun coughing up stuff and hours of pain in my throat...just hoping I can make it to September before it gets bad enough that I'm coughing up blood and have to go to the doctor for antibiotics to fix bronchitis...AGAIN. I hate summer. But oh, can't forget the fruit fly invasion that's taken over my apartment, the jumbo-sized earwigs trying to move into the cats' food bowls, the ants doing the same when the earwigs aren't around, spiders in every corner...at least there haven't been as many mosquitoes getting in as I expected, considering the insane amounts of rain, heat, and humidity.
Have I mentioned I hate summer yet?
That's my excuse for my miserly accomplishments list during that horrid month. At least it ended on a bright note, with finishing 'Never Alone' at last and getting a Mod's Choice for it! One good thing, at least.
July 14 - Second apheresis donation of 2011
July 28 - Finished book 5 celebration picture 'Never Alone'
July 30 - Finished Geren portrait project
As for August, I expect not much either. Not only because I'm very run down through surviving July, but because I'm ramping up preparations for my mom's visit August 23 - September 7. So lots of cleaning and organizing will be the focus during the upcoming weeks. At least it the LAST full month of summer, at LAST.
