Well, after the image was done, I sent it off to this nifty place called Personal Throws.com, where I thought I'd have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to be made into a woven blanket, and then the shipping afterward...but I received it 15 days after finishing book 5!
Of course, turning it into a woven image where a limited color palette is used and smaller details are blurred or lost meant the details and hues aren't as clear and far less intense than in the original. I'd have liked for the green feathers and backdrop to be more vivid, but can't have everything. But I'm very happy with the teal and blue hues of the wings, his clothing, and how his lovely avarii feetses came out. And it just makes me grin to come home and see a t'DoL-blanket on my futon! *squees*
Shado took an immediate liking to it too, which is both good and bad (and quite amusing considering who he's named for ;). It's very cute to see him curled up on it, but I'm not enjoying him snagging threads with his claws!
Just might have to buy me a few more t'DoL-blankets, is all! =D But speaking of Shado, my digging through drawers throwing out obsolete software and related stuff during my computer switch last weekend unearthed my cheap microphone. And that got me to do what I've been meaning to do for years: get a recording of some of the funny happy noises Shado makes during his 'going-to-bed' routine each night before I put the lights out. I'm afraid you might have to crank up your volume, and sorry about me nudging the microphone right in the middle. It was amusing having one of my coworkers guess; and she didn't realize it was cat noises until the end!

I'd love to hear what you guys think he sounds like!
