29 Days of Writing: Day 15

15. Midway question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!

Seems most writers I admire are dead: J.R.R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Madeline L'Engle, George MacDonald. Why does this question have to stick to such a narrow 'box,' anyway? Among the living, creative people I admire include artists such as Jennifer Miller and Christophe Vacher, who work with two-dimensional images. There is the composer David Holsinger, whose piece The Easter Symphony has earned my uttermost respect. There are sculptors, like Melody Pena, Ellen Jewett (creaturesfromel), and TDawn Maddox, whose talent I wish I possessed. I certainly can't leave out animation and film-making: Hayao Miyazaki and the creative geniuses at Pixar have my highest esteem and admiration as well. They're all an inspiration, even if they're not inside the 'box' these questions focus on!
